What is the dosage and how should it be used?
Donepezil comes as a tablet to take orally.
The initial dosage of donepezil is 5 mg taken once a day, at bedtime. Your doctor may start you on a low dose of donepezil and increase your dose after 4 to 6 weeks.
Donepezil may be taken with or without food.
Remember to take donepezil exactly as directed. Never take more or less of it, or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
